How it began
Masjid At-Taqwa was founded in 2005 through the efforts of community members who wanted a place to establish salah, spread beneficial Islamic knowledge and nurture a strong Muslim community.
The masjid began in a residential home that was gradually renovated and converted. With the help of Allah and the dedication of brothers and sisters, daily salah and a small school for children and youth took root.
Growing with the community
As attendance increased, the masjid expanded its facilities, prayer areas and educational programs. Additional space made it possible to better accommodate sisters, enlarge the school and provide more classes and recreational activities.
Community service beyond the masjid
The masjid also helped develop funeral and cemetery services to meet an important community need. The long-term vision continues to include improved facilities and expanded space for future generations.
